Previous Testimonials and Awards
We have a number of charities, Schools and Organisations that return to us year after year. In 2016 we were delighted to be nominated for, and receive runner up in the National Sense Collaboration Award for our Contribution towards the Deaf Blind Community. This group included youngsters with a variety of special and complex needs.
Below are a few bits from our nomination and testimonials from the Charities Co-ordinators.
Lucy Howard – Group Coordinator, SENSE:
“The staff at Leam Boat Centre are incredibly flexible and have a real willingness to go above and beyond to make the session accessible for every young person, no matter what their needs are. They certainly don’t see people’s disabilities as a barrier and offer a wide range of boat options which allow for every need to be catered for.”
Pete Bazeley – Group Coordinator, I Leap

Home Education Parent:
From simply showing up and hiring a kayak for a family paddle for an hour or so on a beautiful stretch of river, weekly lessons for my 12 year old daughter and fantastic trips around the country to experience a range of water challenges; the Leam Boat Centre experience is outstanding.
Great staff, a lovely family feel – brilliant with kids with varying needs (e.g. autism) and super helpful.
There is also a fantastic range of boating products available and the knowledge of the staff in helping choose the best products is invaluable.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for a great leisure activity. My daughter now kayaks at least once a week – she’s totally hooked!
